This is a black Visa Card, with no individual named on the front of the card. Embossed on the front of the card will be the name of one of our law firms: Latin American Legal. This card can be used on-line, in-person or at an ATM.
These cards are issued out of Ecuador, and Ecuador imposes a tax of 1% on money leaving the country through credit cards. Ecuador has openly stated it will not sign any OECD tax treaties; we think the extra 1% is a cheap price to pay for this extra assurance of privacy. Balances cannot be moved card to card. These cards do not have any chargeback capability; the primary intended use is ATM machines.
NO IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED. If the card is lost, there can be no recovery of funds on the card because there is no association to your name or identity document associated with the card.
